Theme:
Talk – musical performance focusing on pirts as the subject in Latvian dainas (folksongs). Did people sing them as they wandered into the woods or meadows or was singing a way to prepare for pirts? To what extent were dainas a part of the pirts practice? How much dainas are heard inside the pirts or outside it, as we relax in nature and celebrate our traditions.
