
Latvian Pirts and SPA Association (further referred to as the Association) is an association of professional organisations, the purpose of which is to promote restoration, protection and development of pirts culture and traditions as an essential component of Latvian way of life in modern day Latvia and abroad. The Association in this way encourages preservation of the authentic and healthy lifestyle pirts embodies in close connection with nature.
The Association brings together Latvian pirts professionals and representative groups (pirts venues, SPA, schools, unions, etc.) who actively highlight the traditions and culture of Latvian pirts in their daily activities, and are proud of the trade and value that pirts profession brings to the state and society.
The Association regularly organises Latvian pirts themed festivals: PIRTS AND WELLNESS FESTIVAL, PIRTS AND HERBAL FESTIVAL or PIRTS AND FLAVOUR FESTIVAL. Each festival offers a glimpse into the Latvian folk wisdom (herbal remedies, plants, healthy lifestyle, flavours, signs, folk songs, etc) and promotes pirts tradition as an important part of Latvian identity.
The Association also hosts an annual competition THE FUTURE PIRTNIEKS for aspiring pirts professionals with up to three years of experience, and a children's competition THE LITTLE FAMILY PIRTNIEKS for 7 to 12 year olds who enjoy pirts with their family.
Association structure
The Association is governed by the Assembly of Members and the Council. The latter is composed of the Head of the Council and seven Council Members.
The day-to-day functions of the Association are organised and led by the Executive Board, which consists of one member of the Board who represents the Association indefinitely.
The Association is formed of seven professional institutions – commissions, which are chaired by Members of the Council:

“Nākotnes pirtnieks 2023”
Festivāla svētku laikā tiek organizēts Jauno pirtnieku konkurss “NĀKOTNES PIRTNIEKS 2023” – drosmīgāko jauno pirtnieku (ar pieredzi pirtī līdz 3 gadiem) iepazīšanai, nolūkā novērtēt pirtnieka aroda skaistumu un radosmi pirts tradīcijas un mūsdienu kontekstā.
Iedrošinām piedalīties ikvienu jauno pirtnieku, jo tas allaž ir stāsts par savas varēšanas robežu paplašināšanu un sevis pieteikšanu plašākai PaSaulei, iepazīstot jaunus pirtsmīļus un draugus, un gūstot atzinību pirts profesionāļu lokā.

“Ģimenes pirtnieks 2023”
Festivāla svētku laikā tiek organizēts Bērnu pirtnieku konkurss “ĢIMENES PIRTNIEKS 2023” – bērniem un jauniešiem no 7 līdz 13 gadiem, kuriem patīk pirtiņā sildīties un tajā lutināt savus vecākus, brāļus, māsas, omes un opjus un citus mīļos cilvēkus – savam un ģimenes priekam.
Šis vienmēr ir stāsts par kopā būšanu, jauniem pirts draugiem, uzstāšanās prieku un savējo, pašu mīļāko lutināšanu.
